Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
I recently had a great reminder of why I really love serving in wealth management. I was chatting with a client and I let her know that she and her husband were approaching their 10-year anniversary as AssetGrade clients. We had excellent investment returns for the past year together and had done very nicely over the 10-year period. I thanked her for doing business with us, and she said, “Thank you, thank you, thank you! We appreciate everything you do for us. Yes, we like the performance, but we really appreciate all of the extra help and guidance you have given over the years. It made a big difference for us.”
This particular couple is in good financial shape. However, they had run into short-term cash flow challenges with dramatic cost overruns during their major home renovation project. We worked through the best options available through a combination of leveraging their brokerage accounts and tapping a home equity line of credit they had set up. Most importantly, we were able to help them get through a stressful situation.
It meant a lot to me to receive that feedback from my client. I want all of my clients to succeed and to be able to get past life’s inevitable challenges when they arise. I hear all about my clients’ major life events and have worked to support them through both the high and low points. I have been serving as a wealth manager long enough to have seen clients start from very modest beginnings and build up multi-million dollar portfolios through a combination of hard work and taking the right steps over time. Much like the story of the couple I mentioned above, some of my most rewarding experiences as an investment advisor are working with clients to help them achieve their most important goals.
